Vivaldi: The Four Seasons Reimagined

Max Richter released his mesmerising version of Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’ in 2012, a masterpiece that has captivated audiences ever since. Join Sarah for a unique immersive reworking of this piece, for recorders. Early music meets film music: it has to be seen to be believed!



A Conversation Concert: early music behind the scenes

A Conversation Concert is an engaging and varied deep dive into the history of the recorder, told through a myriad of instruments and a beautiful programme of early music. But that’s not all: how does the choice of instruments, or ornamentation, or even tempo shape the music? The audience can get directly involved, by voting on each musical choice Sarah makes! 

Featuring music by JS Bach, Couperin, Walsh, Telemann, Van Eyck, Hotteterre, and more.

Commisioned by the Blockfloetenfesttage 2024. This has since been performed worldwide from Australia to the US, and all over Europe.



Blast Off!
Family concert: recorders in space!

Duration: 50 minutes (5+) or 40 minutes (2+)

Come along on an interactive journey through the wonderful world of the recorder - in space! Recorder explorer Sarah Jeffery has a special rocket ship, powered by music. She’s donned her helmet and is blasting off into a galaxy of music and sound. And she needs your help! Wormholes and black holes, mysterious aliens, even time travel - anything can happen. But it’s all possible, thanks to the power of music!

Suitable for the whole family. Featuring music from the 14 century to... the future! Composers include Bach, Ciconia, Debussy, Steve Reich, Beethoven, Holst, Heinrich Schutz, Annette Ziegenmeyer, Kpop Demon Hunters, and Sarah herself.

Escape Velocity: contemporary music for recorders

The recorder as you’ve never heard it before! Escape Velocity is a programme of new music collected by Sarah Jeffery, from the composers she got to know on social media during lockdown. Beautiful, haunting, desperate, explosive, soothing... it’s an emotional journey told through the medium of a surprising collection of recorders.

Featuring works by Alice Jones, Melika M. Fitzhugh, Wilma Pistorius, Ed Driver, Fumiharu Yoshimine, Sarah Jeffery, and more.
